Huddersfield Town in the Premier League with comedians Howard Walker and Graeme Rayner
Manage episode 407436974 series 3560205
Host Carl Jones is joined by two comedians and passionate Terriers, Howard Walker and Graeme Rayner, to continue the countdown of the all-time Premier League table with Huddersfield Town in 47th place.
From winning a league title on goal average (all explained within) to the near misses scattered throughout their history, we jump to David Wagner's reign and a triumphant return to the top flight and survival against the odds before a "difficult" second season and a reluctant change in the dugout saw Town return to the Championship after two seasons.
There's also Martin from Wakefield-gate, quite a few players with names that are hard to pronounce, one player whose name isn't particularly hard to pronounce but Carl gets it wrong anyway and old wounds are reopened as we try and decipher why selling Marcus Stewart to promotion rivals Ipswich Town a quarter century ago seemed like a good idea at the time.
We'll also put a Premier League Huddersfield XI into the archives, there's another very impressive Play Your Apps Right performance from one of our guests and the lads share their opinions on who is the Premier League's greatest Bosnian player of all-time. One thing's for sure - they're all hard as nails.
