What a watery week we’ve got on our hands! But, what does that even mean? It means that most of the aspects we’re looking at are in water signs. For example, we have the trine of the Sun in Cancer to Saturn in Pisces on Wednesday, and Mercury in Cancer to Saturn, again, on Friday. Plus, the connection of the Sun and Mercury in a Cancerian conjunction on Sunday.

Water is the element of emotion, of feeling, of sensitivity. It’s the element that represents intuition and empathy. Because all of these aspects are quite ‘soft,’ we should be experiencing all of these multiplied by a thousand, in a positive way. Saturn’s influence to the Sun and Mercury brings super-stability to what could otherwise be too much of a ‘feely’ energy. There’s a good dose of reality that happens when the tough-love planet gets involved. Saturn lets us know that, whilst it’s great to express our emotions, we also need to take responsibility for them. In other words, what’s yours is yours, baby. Feel the feels, heal the feels, but don’t project the feels. Have empathy for yourself, as well as others. Direct all that loving, nurturing energy inwards and outwards.

Water is also symbolic of relationships. With this week’s alignments, we want to connect and be understood. We want to be heard and felt, not in an intellectual way, but in a much deeper way. Conversations that happen now will be felt on a much more telepathic level, if we keep our hearts open, even more so than our ears. We’re also going to look for a certain level of safety, which may give us the courage to step up and ask for what we need, rather than expect others to anticipate said needs.

Speaking of relationships, we need to keep in mind that both Mars and Venus - in flamboyant Leo - are linked via a square aspect to wild Uranus on Monday and Sunday, respectively. The safety that we crave may be hard to find if we’re pushing and pulling all day long. We need to peer into ourselves and really reflect on how we can bring both qualities of freedom and security into our closest connections. How can we enjoy adventure, whilst not pushing intimacy and connection away? Can we actually do it? Of course! It just takes some practice.
