Welcome to The Savvy Dentist Podcast with Dr. Jesse Green , where we explore the intersection of dentistry, business, and personal growth to help you create a practice and a life you love. In this episode Dr. Jesse Green explains how your business can become a referral powerhouse. Word of mouth referrals are a great source of patients because we know the patients that come in through word of mouth referrals are typically more 'sold' on the practice, more likely to accept treatment. They're often high quality patients and quite simply, just nice people. If you're going to use referral (or internal) marketing as a strategy to grow your business, you've got to be on the front foot, you've got to be very active with it, you've got to be able to drive it and do the right things consistently and well over a period of time, and you'll see those results grow. What can happen with referral marketing is you can take one person (one new patient) that you get through referral marketing, and turn them into two, and take those two and turn them into four, and take those four and turn them into eight, and take those eight and turn them into 16 ... and so on. So let's talk about the nine key ideas, nine key strategies on how to become a referral business leader.…

We're going back into the archives, rummaging through the vault, finding the best bits of the best episodes and we're taking those vignettes and those snippets and we're combining them together to form one single episode around a particular theme or topic. And the topic for this episode is creating great business systems. Every business on the planet needs great systems, and dental practices are no exception. But what does great systems mean? Well, most people have their systems documented sitting up in a folder somewhere on a bookshelf gathering dust and no one ever follows them. So for us, great systemisation involves not just documenting the systems, but having those systems followed by all your team. And when you get this right, what's going to happen is your patients are going to have the most amazing experience within your practice. They're going to have the best possible clinical care, they're going to receive the best possible customer service, and they're going to be raving fans about your practice. On top of this, when you have new team members, you're going to onboard them faster. In this episode of The Savvy Dentist Podcast you're going to hear from Verne Harnish, the author of scaling up. Welcome to the Savvy Dentist Podcast Summer Series. To ensure you are motivated and ready to hit 2025 running, the team have gone back through the archives and found snippets of different episodes of different shows and we are stitching them together around a particular theme. The theme for this particular episode is Smart Marketing for Dental Practices. Marketing is one of those areas that most dentists know they need to activate, but really never quite master. The thing about marketing is it is a bit like dentistry in the sense that there's certainly some art to it, but there's a lot of science to it as well. Many dentists feel that marketing is this dark black box. It's just like any skill that you can learn it, you can master it, and you can develop and implement it into your own practice with great success. We say here at Savvy Dentist that the best marketer always wins. So in this episode, we want to introduce you to some of the concepts to take your marketing to a new level with your business because marketing is that first domino that needs to fall. We need to have patient flow before we can ever have success. And patient flow is a function of marketing. In this episode our list of guest are specialists in marketing and they discuss marketing in terms of patient acquisition, patient retention, patient reactivation and what it means to have smart-marketing in your practice. From Google ads that work ... to how you can get comfortable with social media.
