In this episode, I cover all things Norse. We will get into some terminology: Old Nose, Norse, Nordic, Viking, Vikingr, Drengr, runes and more. The topics I share about are cited from many sources including the renowned Dr. Jackson Crawford, former Colorado University and UCLA professor in specializing in Old Norse language, mythology, and literature.
I share my introductory into this culture as a young girl, being a Norse witch, and how to navigate the outdoors like a "Viking". I get into how the culture and mythos inspired me to brand Wild Experience Gear and The Wild Experience Life podcast around Norse mythos. Also, I shared the company logo's meaning (Ægishjamur Icelandic symbol), and how it can relate to you when you head outdoors embracing being the badass you are inside.
I tapped into a little Skald (Norse storyteller) moment reading you two excerpts from the Hávamál at the very end.
