Titan est un monde océanique sous une croûte de glace et à l'atmosphère dense, où la photochimie produit des molécules organiques complexes qui tombent à la surface. Une question importante est de savoir si ce matériau peut se mélanger à l'eau et former des molécules d'intérêt biologique. Une équipe de chercheurs a étudié l'effet des gros impacts qui chauffent la subsurface de Titan et créent des bassins d'eau liquide. Ils publient leur étude dans Journal of Geophysical Research Planets.
