I hope you all are enjoying Ramadan. In this beginners lesson I chat to my sister Melati Lum and we will be going through some sentences using the verb اكل or He Ate in the past tense. Melati is releasing her third book in the Ayesha Dean series called Ayesha Dean: The Lisbon Lawbreaker. Melati is a writer with a background in criminal law who has prosecuted a range of serious offences in the courts. She's an Australian, Malay/Chinese, Muslim mum who loves to read books and enjoys visiting different places around the world. Melati aims to contribute towards diversifying the range of heroines and heroes available to young people. She lives in Adelaide, Australia with her family (including two very fluffy, hypoallergenic, Siberian cats). If you have a young adult in your household, go buy a copy for Eid!Bit.ly/TheLisbonLawbreakerBookDep Teenage sleuth Ayesha Dean is in Portugal, the land of delicious custard tarts, gorgeous sunsets, and piri-piri chicken. But a bungled good deed abruptly lands her on the wrong side of the law. If she tells all, she risks gaol. If she delves further into a mysterious death, she risks her life. If only this Australiancould simply eat her way out of trouble. But no such luck. This time Ayesha Dean is in way over her head!“The perfect combination of history, adventure, and travel with a vividly drawn and charming cast. Ayesha Dean is one of the best new characters in middle-grade mystery.” - AUSMA ZEHANAT KHAN, author of A Deadly Divide--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/arabicwithimran/message
