Hello darlings!! In this episode I am so excited to be speaking to my inspirational friend, Mr Colin Osborne MBE.
Having nearly lost his own life to Testicular Cancer, in 1996 Colin, along with his consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the UK, Professor Tim Oliver, formed the Orchid Cancer Appeal. The first charity to raise money for research into male cancer, with an awareness programme for men. The trustees include some household names in Sport, TV, Politics, Law and Business. There are also many members of the public fundraising and volunteering all year round.
Colin has made numerous appearances on the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, various radio shows, news articles, organising events and so much more, raising over an estimated £30,000,000 to date.
Colin has been honoured with an MBE among other recognitions, and he has also received the Pride of Britain award for his voluntary charity work.
Listen in on some fascinating anecdotes and Colin's courage in the face of adversity, facing very challenging odds against his survival. Be inspired.
PS. There is a few sound challenges, the message still comes across loud and clear!
