EPISODE DESCRIPTION
In this episode, Brandon and Tom are joined by Canadian mortgage industry titan Dustan Woodhouse. Dustan is the Founder of Be a Better Broker Inc. from Vancouver, BC, who spent 10 years as a Broker, funding 1,695 mortgage files ($775 million), and was consistently ranked among the top brokers nationwide by CMP magazine. He then spent 5 years as the President of Mortgage Architects, a national Brokerage with 2,000+ agents, funding $18+ billion annually.
Having authored the Be the Better Broker book series, which teaches the core principles of successful mortgage brokering, this led Dustan to delivering workshops in major cities since 2014, reaching over 5,000 industry professionals. Be the Better Broker has now expanded to also include podcasts, 1-on-1 coaching, and conferences, with the mission to help Mortgage Brokers refine their systems, processes, and business flows, and achieve peak performance in their careers.
Dustan is here to discuss:
→ The Be the Better Broker conference in Whistler this coming January, the origins of the conference, and best practices Dustan implements to make his conference unique.
→ How going to conferences benefits Brokers and ways you can get the most out of them, how to overcome social anxiety at in person events and networking tricks, and the uniqueness of the Broker industry in sharing information.
→ The changing Broker landscape over the past decade, balancing growth with tried and true methods, and how Broker's can make sure they succeed today.
