Listen to this audio essay to hear about Michelle's personal journey with meditation and how meditation might be a helpful parenting tip for you, too.
"I had experimented with meditation on and off for several years, I knew the research was solid, and that meditation had awesome benefits if I could just get myself to sit down and do it.
Then one day it happened. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was exhausted from emotional pain and wanted relief, so I got serious about meditating. After about 30 days of being consistent with meditating (five days a week for 30 minutes each day), I began to experience relief..."
Helping burned out parents find inner calm and compassion.

Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist Supervisor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples and individuals.
When I am not with my three kiddos, I am a marriage and trauma therapist. I love my work and I am grateful for all I get to learn from my clients every day. It was in my work as a therapist that I learned about attachment and connection. I learned about the bond between an infant and parent(s). As John Bowlby taught, attachment is wired in and it goes from cradle to grave, meaning we as human beings need connection throughout our lives.

As a parent I began to focus my search for parenting support towards methods and ideologies which were attachment based, trauma informed, and based in science.
Before I began my career as a mental health therapist I worked as a special education teacher for almost 10 years. I had the privilege to help kiddos with their behaviors while in the general education classroom setting. Supporting them in getting the most from the classroom environment. Helping people has always been my passion.

The light in me sees the light in you,
