During this episode, Dr Andrew Horwood connects with us over Zoom and shares some personal history and wisdom. Andrew is the standing Treasurer of EMSA, a practising GP and pain specialist, and a former resident of Riverdell Spiritual Centre.

We discussed the social atmosphere of his youth when Marxist Philosophy became a popular response to the horrors of WW2. A time in which many intellectuals resonated with Karl Marx’s adage that “Religion is the Opium of the People.”

We learn of Andrew’s journey of self-discovery, the profound realisation sparked by the birth of his children, as well as his evolution as a medical GP. Andrew speaks about his connection to the Emissaries and his appreciation for Lew Childre, the founder of the Heartmath foundation, and we consider the importance of grief, tears, and community. Please join me in this conversation, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.

If you are interested in learning more about the Heartmath foundation, Watch this Video for a better understanding.
