Psilocybin–the active ingredient naturally found in psychedelic magic mushrooms–is increasingly being used to help fight what is often called ‘treatment-resistant depression’ among other mental illnesses. COMPASS Pathways is one bold healthcare venture on a mission to fight human suffering at scale using a combination of a one-time psilocybin treatment, ongoing therapy and digital tools.
