What to do when you can't fill your Ozempic or Mounjaro prescription - Advice from an endocrinologist
Manage episode 425762805 series 3562318
Medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro have fundamentally changed the way diabetes is treated. But even if your doctor writes the prescription and your insurance company covers it, getting your hands on the medication is getting harder and harder. We’re talking about what to do if you’re having trouble here – tips if you have to start and stop – and ways some have found to get their hands on the injections.
My guest is Dr. Michael Weintraub and endo and diabetologist at NYU, he’s a researcher and he sees patients, so he’s dealing with this almost every day.
