This month's clinical corner article covers the randomized clinical trials used to compare treatments for TMJ. Learn about the different approaches to treating jaw pain and the outcomes the different groups had. One group received a splint and medication, and the other received dry needling and hands on treatment. You'll hear that both sets of patients experienced better outcomes when the treatments were used in combination with hands-on treatment/ manipulations, and what factors were used to measure which treatments worked best.
