I am a millennial parent raising a gen alpha. We might have adapted to the internet but not all of us fully understand how fast the digital world is changing and what dangers it might carry especially for our kids.

Yes, the internet has many many benefits but has its dark side too. I have stopped sharing my daughter’s pictures online and wonder about the right age to give her a phone and about educating her regarding internet’s threats.

Even connecting and communicating with this generation requires a very different approach as they are born in a completely digital world and have sharp minds.

Her area of expertise lies in Cyberpsychology where she studies the impact of technology on human behaviour and mind. She heads V4Web Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a tech company that specializes in developing secure applications with the best user experience. Nirali is also a director at V4WEB Cybersecurity, a top 20 trusted company in the cybersecurity domain in India.

Nirali Bhatia is the founder of Cyber B.A.A.P., an anti-cyberbullying organization providing guidance, counselling, and reporting assistance to victims of cyberbullying. Her extensive experience and knowledge have led her to be a guest speaker and panelist for organizations such as UN Women and UNICEF. She has also been invited to participate in panel debates on various news channels and cybersecurity conferences.
