In part two of a three part miniseries on the therapeutic use of psychedelics, Alice Grasset shares her personal journey of healing from breast cancer and her participation in a groundbreaking psilocybin clinical trial at the Sunstone Therapies Clinic in Maryland (CEO, Dr. Manish Agrawal) and was a client of Dr. Brian Richards. Brian and his father Dr. Bill Richards are featured in a recent Netflix show, How to Change Your Mind hosted by Michael Pollan (actress Tracy Pollan's brother). Bill Richards was a pioneer in the therapeutic use of psychedelics from 1967 to 1977 when the drugs became illegal during the Nixon administration.

Alice describes her psilocybin experience, including the dissolution of the ego and the realization that she is part of something larger. Alice left the corporate world and launched the Sparkles of Grace program for breast cancer survivors through yoga, meditation, and coaching.

After the interview MindBody Matters co-hosts Greg Rennie and Rob Wreford discuss how they are now convinced that the use of psychedelics can help people struggling with a cancer diagnosis, depression and PTSD. Greg, who is a Psychotherapist considers using providing psychedelic assisted therapy.

'Dr. Roberts' is a new segment that starts next week as part three of the miniseries in which Dr. Robert Shepherd returns to the show to provide his opinion about the first two episodes of the series. He believes Drew and Alice's experiences are only hallucinations and not personal or spiritual insight and there are risks to using psychedelics in therapy.
