In the last few week's podcasts I've talked about giving yourself a break, rewarding yourself for your hard work with something other than MORE work.
How you get the reward - time off - massage - new outfit is by staying FOCUSED! Last week I met with three clients who all struggled with the same thing. They all said, "I don't have the time too _______." They sorta, kinda had to-do lists (my favorite focus tool!) but they were in their heads, or in notebooks that weren't in front of them.
I worked with all of them to show them they DID have the time to do more!
Last week's podcast was about my personal revelation that I deny myself of non-work related trips. My trip to California was a gift from my "Man-Candy", but I felt guilty at first. Did I deserve it? What did you realize you deny yourself of? It's not always big trips, but it's important!
Why? Well, because if you don't give yourself a break and take the well-deserved time off, or massage or lunch with a friend, you're heading for disaster! You're on the crazy-train that's fast-tracked for BURNOUT! I talk a lot about this in my books and with all of my clients who feel like they "have to do it all" and "can't take a break".
