In her presentation Dr. Wilshire outlines how human rights and democracy are deeply interconnected and underlines the challenges and opportunities that arise from this relationship. Her remarks highlight the urgency of addressing violence, inequality, corruption, and the impact of climate change to strengthen democratic systems and protect human rights.
