Welcome to the second episode of the Parrhesia Tapes, a series dedicated to amplifying the voices of whistleblowers and shedding light on the vital work needed across various sectors and institutions.
Welcome to the second episode of the Parrhesia Tapes, an enlightening series where we shine a light on the unsung heroes and hidden truths within various sectors. In this thought-provoking episode titled we're joined by the courageous Helen Evans, who whilst working as the Global Head of Safeguarding at Oxfam uncovered systemic abuse within the aid sector both in the UK and further afield. Taking a survivor-centred approach, she unveiled systemic abuse on a global scale within the aid sector and called for urgent reform and accountability.
Adding depth to our discussion, we have Professor Dean from Sheffield Hallam University, an esteemed academic whose research inclines towards the imbalance of power within charitable organisations. Professor Dean's insights help us understand the complex dynamics that allow such systemic issues to persist and what it takes to initiate change.
This video is not just an episode; it's a call to action—a beacon for transparency and integrity within the humanitarian aid sector. If you're moved by the content of this video, we encourage you to engage further.
