Mia heeft lange tijd het gevoel gehad dat haar brein niet van haar was. De druk om te presteren was op het gymnasium absurd groot, tijd voor plezier had en nam ze niet. Doordat haar dyslexie gecombineerd is met hoogbegaafdheid, voelde ze zich tussen de leerlingen erg thuis, maar bezorgde school haar veel stress, veel zelfkritiek en veel verdriet omdat ze dacht het niet te kunnen. Nu ze weet hoe haar brein werkt, maakt ze andere keuzes in het leven.
