Join us this week as we sit down with Sensei Neil Stolsmark. Kyoshi Stolsmark has been actively training in the martial arts for over 40 years and has been a full time karate instructor since 1983. He has an insightful and precise teaching style that inspires both young and old and his enthusiasm is said to be contagious. For this, he is called the “instructor of instructors” and many of his students include qualified martial artists and karate studio owners. In his search for knowledge, Kyoshi Stolsmark has traveled extensively in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Africa and Okinawa. He is one of 8 people outside of Okinawa to represent 10th Dan Shorinkan Grandmaster Shugoro Nakazato as a Kyoshi 8th Dan of karate-do. As a 9th Dan in Okinawa Kobudo, Sensei Stolsmark is the president of the Okinawa Kobudo Doushi Rensei-kai and has been appointed successor of Yoshiaki Gakiya Sensei. Kyoshi Stolsmark has owned and operated the Waukesha dojo (Wisconsin) for 29 years and the Watertown dojo (Wisconsin) for 25 years. During this time, he has promoted over 175 students to black belt level!
