Dolma - Stuffed Mediterranean dish
The word dolma originates from Turkish and Greek languages. This stuffed vegetable dish is usually served during Ramadan. It is eaten throughout the middle east, north africa and central asia. There are many types of Dolma depending on the region it originates from. In Turkey, there is stuffed grape leaves while in Syria, it is stuffed zucchini.
In Turkey, Dolma is cooked over hot coals and seasoned with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and parsley.
