Moving thoughts from the unconscious to the conscious

Writing down our most articulate description of where we're at right now helps us understand which thoughts we're engaging in, because those thoughts are creating that reality. By being aware of the thoughts that are creating our current reality, we have the choice to be able to continue to act on those thoughts or choose different thoughts. To act on that choice is the essence of what it is to be free.
