On January 6, 2021 the US Capitol Building was attacked by a mob of people wanting to prevent a joint session of congress from counting the electoral votes.
There's many things that have been said from this day, some say it was an inside job, some said it was the worst thing to happen to a democracy. About 840 suspects have been charged, many people have testified in front of the Jan 6th Committee including close people to Trump.
