In a groundbreaking move, the Los Angeles County Centurions, led by President Johnny Gray and retired Assistant Chief Dan Scott, have successfully spearheaded the naming of a fire station after the late Assistant Chief Hershel Clady. The first African-American to rise through the ranks to Engineer, Hershel Clady made history with his contributions to the LA County Fire Department. Despite facing challenges and the pause caused by COVID-19, the Centurions, with the support of Chief Daryl Osby and the unanimous backing of the County Supervisors, have triumphed in this historic endeavor.
