Good morning, weather watchers! This is your weather report for Washington District of Columbia, coming in hot (or should I say, cool) from the National Weather Service.
Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us today. We're looking at increasing clouds with temperatures climbing to a brisk 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a breezy day with winds from the west starting at 6 to 11 miles per hour, ramping up to 15 to 20 miles per hour in the afternoon. Those gusts might just ruffle your hair, potentially hitting up to 34 miles per hour!
Tonight, we're settling into a partly cloudy evening with temperatures dropping to around 34 degrees Fahrenheit. A southwest wind will keep things interesting, blowing between 5 to 13 miles per hour.
Wednesday brings us some sunshine and a warmer day, with temperatures reaching near 57 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, those winds will be playful, starting west at 11 to 16 miles per hour and potentially gusting up to 43 miles per hour.
As we move into Thursday, expect a sunny day with a high near 46 degrees Fahrenheit. Friday is when things get wet - we're looking at a high near 55 degrees with a 90 percent chance of rain.
The weekend looks mixed, with Saturday being mostly sunny and a high near 42 degrees, while Sunday turns mostly cloudy with a high near 44 degrees.
