Weather Report Script for Washington, District of Columbia:
Good morning, weather watchers! Let's dive into today's forecast for the nations capital.
We've got a wind advisory in effect, so buckle up for a breezy day! Expect plenty of sunshine with temperatures climbing to a pleasant 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Those southwest winds will be dancing at 11 to 16 miles per hour, picking up to 18 to 23 miles per hour in the afternoon. Hold onto your hats, because gusts could reach up to 47 miles per hour!
Tonight, we're looking at mostly clear skies and a chilly drop to around 29 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west winds will continue to play, blowing between 6 to 15 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
Thursday brings another sunny day, but a bit cooler with highs near 49 degrees Fahrenheit. Light winds will kick in from the southwest.
Thursday night gets interesting with rain rolling in after 1 am. Expect temperatures around 40 degrees Fahrenheit with a good 80 percent chance of precipitation. We might see between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rainfall.
Friday is a full-on rain day with temperatures reaching 56 degrees Fahrenheit. It's a 100 percent chance of rain, so grab those umbrellas!
The weekend looks more promising with mostly sunny skies on Saturday and partly sunny conditions on Sunday. Temperatures will hover around the upper 40s.
Monday brings a nice warm-up with temperatures climbing to 59 degrees Fahrenheit.
