The world needs your light. How to speak up and move through uncomfortable feels when becoming more visible.
It is difficult to heal deep wounds left by trauma. It can leave us feeling helpless, alone, and as if our voices have been silenced. Trauma can show up in a variety of ways, making it difficult for us to interact with the world in the same way we did before. But healing is possible, and healing often begins with safe communities that can help us navigate our emotions, our experiences, and our journey toward wholeness.
I share about human trafficking and my last episode with Lauren Trantham [Pain into Purpose: Ride My RoadTM, Fighting Human Trafficking through Empowerment] and the Metaverse AI flagged my post as hate speech. My emotions were triggered by this and I actually shed a few tears. Normally, I am not a crier, but I was surprised at the emotional healing that was sparked by a safe place to share. We need a community to help us move through our traumas. Healing is a journey.
My husband, The Inspirational Rapper, wrote and produced a song for survivors and awareness about what is going on in the world today. On this podcast, he has allowed me to share it with you. I hope it provides hope, inspiration, and awareness for those fighting the fight against human trafficking.
Although healing from trauma can be a difficult and vulnerable process, it is possible with the support of safe communities and allies who understand our experiences. It is important to remember that you are not alone if you are struggling with trauma, and there are resources to help you navigate your journey to wholeness. Find strength and support in our community.

My husband wrote the heart-wrenching song in honor of victims of human trafficking. I think we can all benefit from the message… Especially if you've ever felt like it doesn't matter, exist or not.
