In this episode of Muscle Masterminds, we’re joined by competitive powerlifter, bodybuilder, and professor of exercise science, Dr. Mike Isreatel. Join us as we discuss the main pathway by which we build muscle, Progressive overload.

When it comes to gaining muscle, progressive overload is key! Without implementing progressive overload to your training program, your body will not need to adapt and therefore will not get bigger or stronger. And let’s be honest, that’s what the majority of us want when we go to the gym and train, am I right? We want to build muscle, we want to get strong and we want to look jacked! But unless we’re providing new stimulus on a consistent basis, we’ll never achieve our goal of growing bigger.
