Historically, it has been so easy for doctors, educators and parents to miss ADHD in young girls because it can present so differently than in young boys. Academic struggles, self-discipline issues, even people-pleasing can be sure signs to anyone knowledgeable about ADHD, but Lacy’s story shows that in middle school and high school, with so many issues at play, ADHD not only can be overlooked, but can also be a huge contributing factor to the struggles we see in young girls struggling with ADHD.

Listen to the first part of this two-part episode as Lacy Estelle shares her experience of living with ADHD in middle school and high school.
